Company Overview

IDX designs and manufactures batteries, chargers, camera lights, power adaptors and camera accessories for the broadcast and professional video industry. IDX was established in 1989 and employs 100 staff across locations in Japan, USA and the UK to serve a rapidly growing worldwide customer base.

Due to the latest improvements in ENG cameras and the widespread use of HD technology, our customers have demanded higher capacity and longer lasting batteries. Because of this, portability, extra power, ease of use and reliability have become standard features across our entire product range.

It's not just the product itself that has satisfied our customers. One of our major philosophies towards battery development is that they should be easy to transport and usable in any location. Air travel, which is essential to many, is made easier with all IDX batteries being flight friendly and within IATA/UN limits for unrestricted airline carriage.
