IDX Power Panasonic's AVCCAM Range

IDX has partnered Panasonic Broadcast in manufacturing a high capacity Li-ion battery for the AG-HMC151 and AG-HMC71 professional camcorders.  The new 37Wh SSL-VBG50 battery employs secured communication technology to enable both cameras to recognise the battery as an authorised power source.

Providing a minimum of 5000mAh and 37Wh of capacity, the SSL-VBG50 provides a 3 LED push button power indicator located on the front of the battery for a quick and convenient check of remaining capacity.  Like all professional broadcast batteries manufactured by IDX the SSL-VBG50 has optimum safety features such as over charge and over discharge and overload protection.

Also available from IDX is a Li-ion battery compatible with Panasonic’s DVX, HVX and HPX range of professional camcorders.  The SL-VBD50 provides 5000mAh, 37Wh of capacity and features the same integrated 3 LED power indicator and auto safety features as the secured battery model.

Recharging is taken care of by the new LC-VWP 2-channel simultaneous charger.  In addition to both the SSL-VBG50 and SL-VBD50, the LC-VWP will also charge selected Panasonic 7.4V battery models.  Each charging channel is operated independently, so batteries can be placed on charge in any order and at any time for a quick turnaround.  An ultra compact footprint and universal AC input means it can be transported just about anywhere, while a special design feature on the side of the LC-VWP allows multiple charger units to be attached and form a solid charging base.
