IDX Technology will be showcasing the new range of PlayMagic play out servers and Ambrado HD/SD video image processing solutions at IBC 2010, in addition to the new Shoulder Stabilisation System and power accessories for broadcast and professional video.
The PlayMagic MFP-100 is a compact 1RU multi-format play out server featuring Solid State Drives delivering playback of HD-SDI/SD-SDI video with multi Gigabit network performance and IEEE1394 and USB connectivity. The MFP-100 supports MXF, QuickTime, MPEG-2 and DVCPRO HD with removable Solid State Drives of 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. With its superior SSD throughput, HD signal processing and flexible control connectivity, the MFP-100 exceeds HDD in stability, reliability and access speed.
IDX Ambrado will demonstrate new Encoder/Decoders utilising both MPEG2 and H264 in a class beating compact solution that sets new standards of picture quality and latency. Video contribution and distribution is supported across HD/SD with DVB and IP support. The new SuperRES system creates high quality image and video reconstruction from low resolution images, and will be demonstrated for the first time during IBC.
IDX continue to be the pioneer of professional Li-ion battery systems and power solutions for the industry’s latest High Definition ENG, film, camcorder and digital SLR cameras. New for 2010 is the IDX Shoulder Stabilisation System, a uniquely versatile and universal system for stabilising hand held camcorders and digital SLR cameras. The system can be configured with voltage regulation P-V plates and DC cables so the camera can be powered from high capacity ENDURA V-Mount Li-ion batteries. The high capacity battery range includes the premier high load HL9 series, backed up by the established line of 68Wh, 93Wh and the 136Wh Dual Power Cartridge ENDURA ELITE.
IDX have solved the problem of running high powered digital cinema and film production cameras in the field by introducing the EB-424L. The EB-424L is a portable power base station with four V-Mount channels which can accept up to four ENDURA batteries, or eight in PowerLink, to provide power. IDX PowerLink allows two E-7, E-10 or E-HL9 to be docked together to boost capacity which means up to 704Wh can be supplied when eight E-HL9 batteries are connected. For professional 24V film equipment, a LEMO output terminal is capable of supplying a regulated 24V of power, while there is also a 4 pin XLR available to supply 12V for video and lighting equipment.
The new A-HMR10K bracket is specifically designed to support Panasonic’s tapeless portable memory recorder AG-HMR10, and is intended for use with IDX’s A-MWR257 mounting bracket, which connects directly to a native camera V-Mount. The A-MWR257 provides a D-Tap output regulated to 7.3V so an ENDURA battery can run both the camera and the recorder simultaneously.
In addition, IDX will also be presenting the full line of multi-channel fast chargers, wireless HD-video transmission systems, LED on-board lights, 7.4V Panasonic batteries, power adaptors and accessories.
