IDX Celebrate BVE 2011 with New Camera Accessories

IDX Technology, manufacturer of power products and distributor of professional broadcast video equipment, is presenting all its principle brands at BVE 2011 which include Century, Schneider, CamRade, Easy Steady and Dejero.

BVE 2011 will be the UK launch of a ground-breaking new wireless ENG transmission system from Canadian manufacturer Dejero, with whom IDX have just signed an exclusive EMEA distribution agreement.  The Dejero LIVE system has been developed to allow broadcast professionals and news crews to connect their camera to the Dejero transmitter - a compact portable case - and transmit live broadcast quality video content across multiple 3G cellular networks in a matter of seconds.  The other elements to the system, a Dejero video server and software manager can be installed in a studio or newsroom to control and manage incoming video sources.

New from IDX this year are power solutions for the very latest Panasonic cameras and monitors.  The P-VS2PW V-Plate adaptor is designed specifically to convert the Panasonic AJ-HPX3100 camera to V-Mount.  Based on the popular IDX P-V series, it contains a second pre-wired DC power connector specific to the HPX3100 power configuration, supplying battery power to both the camera and on-board light when connected to the D-Tap power outlet located on the camera itself.

The A-E2BT24V battery adaptor plate has been developed for Panasonic 25.5” portable field monitors BT-3DL2550 and BT-LH2550.  The adaptor allows high capacity IDX ENDURA V-Mount batteries to be attached and provide DC power to the monitor.  There are VESA 100 screw holes for direct attachment at the rear of the monitor and DC input is provided by integral XLR cable.  IDX will also be presenting power solutions for the new Panasonic AG-AF101 camcorder, with a 37Wh Li-ion battery SSL-VBG50 and 2-channel quick charger LC-VWP.  The IDX Shoulder Stabilisation System, providing a stable shoulder mount, allows the camera to be powered by V-Mount battery and therefore run for significantly longer. 

Century film, video and professional lens add-ons now include a .8X Wide Angle Converter, .6X Wide Angle Adaptor and Fisheye attachment for the new Canon XF-300/305 camcorder.  The .8X Wide Angle WA-8XLC-XF provides a 20% increase in wide angle coverage, with full zoom through functionality and bayonet mount.

CamRade is showcasing its range of high quality wetsuits, camera suits and protective bags for video, audio, film and photographic equipment.  There are new rain cover wetsuits for the Panasonic AG-AF101, Canon XF-300/305 and ARRI Alexa, while protective carrying bags for these and many more cameras will be on display at BVE.  New additions to the bag line-up include the CB Single Special bespoke to the Panasonic AG-HMC70/80, Sony HVR-HD1000 and HXR-MC2000, and the cabinBag, designed for transporting equipment on airplane carry-on luggage or overhead storage compartments. 

Italian manufacturer Easy Steady will also be demonstrating the latest in professional stabilisation systems.  In addition to the Lite ‘n go range which support DSLR and camcorders up to 8.5Kg, BVE 2011 will be the official UK launch of the PRO Series system, designed for professional broadcast and film cameras up to 32Kg in weight.  The PRO Series comprises a lightweight operator vest with memory padding for comfort, dual section aluminium stabilisation arm with exchangeable canister springs, mounting sled with telescopic centre post, universal camera plate, super fluid gimbal and full HD-SDI internal wiring and connectivity.
