IDX Power JVC 4K Revolution

IDX Company, Ltd. has partnered with JVC to manufacture a high capacity Li-ion battery for their ground breaking GY-HMQ10 handheld 4K camcorder. The SSL-JVC50 battery will also be fully compatible with JVC’s new GY-HM600/650 models which are due for release in Autumn 2012. The new 37Wh SSL-JVC50 battery employs secured communication technology to enable the cameras to recognise the battery as an authorised power source.

Providing a minimum of 4900mAh and 37Wh of capacity, the SSL-JVC50 communicates battery data to the camera viewfinder to provide battery voltage and remaining capacity. Like all professional broadcast batteries manufactured by IDX the SSL-JVC50 has optimum safety features such as over charge, over discharge and overload protection.

Recharging is taken care of by the new LC-2J 2-channel simultaneous charger. Each charging channel is operated independently, so SSL-JVC50 batteries can be placed on charge in any order and at any time for a quick turnaround. An ultra compact footprint and universal AC input means it can be transported just about anywhere, while a special design feature on the side of the LC-2J allows multiple charger units to be attached and form a solid charging base. Both the SSL-JVC50 and LC-2J are available from JVC authorised dealers.
